80s Gray Wool Coat w/Embroidered Velvet Collar & Shoulder Panel
Delightful overcoat that echoes earlier eras, it is cut out of a dark grayish-brown wool and closes with a row of large, black buttons down the center. The shoulders are padded, the waist is nipped in a basque shaped seam, and the coat skirt descends to the ankles in an A line. There are slit pockets at each hip front. The collar and sleeve cuffs are in black velvet with silk cord and rhinestone embroidery. My favorite part is the large shoulder panel that descends diagonally across the front and the upper back, giving it an extra layer of warmth and an interesting design element. Fully lined at the interior.
