If you hate knitting in small circumferences using DPN's or magic loop, this is a game changer. These needles work just like DPN's, but have a flexible cable in the center of the needle so that you can knit comfortably and more flexibly.

The stitches are spread across two needles and you work with the third, removing the need to track more than 3 needles at any given time. 

One end of the needle has a more blunt tip, for knitting off of, and the other has a sharper tip, for picking up. That way, you'll always have the right tip for working off of. 

These needles total 10" / 25 cm in length. The XL length is most suitable for larger objects such as wider sleeves on thicker sweaters, or the crowns of hats.
